no-’poo/low-’poo routines for various hair types

To make life a little easier and to help more than 1 person at a time, i’ve come up with these cookie-cutter starter routines for those wanting a little more guidance. as i always say, it’s very different for everyone, AND it’s going to be very different a year down the road compared to when you started. for example, here was my routine when i started: aaaand here’s my routine now:: day 1 : wash with water only. air dry.days 2-8 (no set days anymore): nothing… not even getting it wet. To those who claim no-’poo is damaging to hair… NO-’POO WEEK is officially over!

to those who claim no-’poo is damaging to hair…

But who doesn’t love bonuses? Today, we’re gonna deal with those who seem to be giving no-’poo a bad name… if i see another blog or person bashing no-’poo, i’m gonna lose it, haha. i understand people have concerns about switching. it’s normal! You SHOULD! & you should ask questions, check out other people’s experiences, etc., etc. and you, my darling readers, have been AMAZING at asking questions, posting comments, and helping each other. thank you!! Rinse only method (ROM) / water only washing. [ check out UPDATE 1 (5/9/13), UPDATE 2 (5/24/13), UPDATE 3 (6/21/13), UPDATE 4 (8/15/13) ] oh, readers… dear readers… i will be embarking on the journey to only “washing” my hair by rinsing it with water!

rinse only method (ROM) / water only washing

That’s it! Seriously. what is water-only-washing/ the ROM? It’s literally only washing your hair with water. it’s the ultimate low maintenance hair routine, but does require more elbow grease. with this method, you’re not stripping your hair of its natural oils, but rather spreading them down the length of your hair with preening, and “washing” away the excess with water and scritching. aka, scritching and preening will be a necessity! Scritching and preening:scritching – to scritch, gently “scratch” and rub your scalp all over to loosen up sebum and excess scalp oilspreening – to preen using your fingers,, take small sections of your hair and gently “pull” the oils/sebum from your roots down the length of your hair. you can also preen by brushing with your bbb.

No Soap On My Skin, No Shampoo In My Hair: Over 4 Years

We'd been trying to get together for a while, during a couple of his trips out west. He's writing a book. Has a literary agent, and several publishers are interested. Game on. He did a 2-hr video interview, just in case he can produce a documentary as well. I'm basically "the star" of his book, and the Docu, if he can sell it. Why? I live in a world of abject ignorance and moron on so many levels I can't even account for it.

Wash Your Hair Without Shampoo. Edit Edited by Fang Aili, Flickety, Maluniu, Dave Crosby and 37 others There are many reasons to eschew typical shampoo if you have naturally curly or wavy hair.

Wash Your Hair Without Shampoo

Cleansing hair without a shampoo can give straight hair back its natural fullness and body, and maybe even a wavy texture that was being shampooed out. Most shampoos contain harsh, drying sulfates that are extremely damaging for curly hair (ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate, etc.). They are often foaming agents that make curly hair frizzy and uncooperative.
