First, applicants must complete the "Candidate Questionnaire" which is Part I of the United States Military Academy application. Since this first step in applying for the Summer Leaders Experience is Part I of the USMA application process SLE applicants will also have an open USMA application file which will save them time and effort should they later decide to apply to become a USMA cadet. After finishing Part I, applicants interested in SLE must submit Part II (Workshop/Week Preference) in order to compete for an SLE offer. The SLE application link can be found in the top right corner of this page. The link will only appear during the SLE application window January through April. To be clear, individuals interested in applying for the Summer Leaders Experience MUST complete Part I, the Candidate Questionnaire, and then apply specifically for SLE at the link below.

The Academic Program West Point strives to admit the best and brightest each year to ensure that the classrooms are places of intellectual rigor and stimulation, places where knowledge passes not just from instructor to cadet, but from cadet to cadet as well.

West Point's Academic Program serves as a foundation for the development of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. It includes a substantive set of fully integrated core courses that, together, provide an appropriate balance between technical topics and the humanities. Cadets choose their areas of depth from more than 40 academic majors that span a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. The academic curriculum culminates with an integrative experience that is often an interdisciplinary and team-based project. Course Requirements, Entrance Test &minimum GPA. Selection for Admissions Officers is highly competitive and those selected will be sent to Advanced Civil Schooling (ACS) for up to two years. We select two to three branch-qualified captains to attend a two-year Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program, with a three-year follow-on assignment to the Directorate of Admissions. Our officers attend high-quality graduate programs to obtain their M.B.A. degree at a school of their choice.

In the Directorate of Admissions, we seek out Key Developed (KD) Captains who have displayed exemplary performance in the Army to serve as Admissions Officers. As Regional Commanders, our officers recruit the highest quality cadets, perform professional service, and provide outreach for the Army. An assignment in Admissions is a challenging and rewarding developmental experience. We are currently considering officers from year groups 2009 - 2010 who are KD and able to report to graduate school starting the 2016 Fall term. The Corps Starts Here!
