DIY Paper Wheels Backdrop. I received a few emails asking for a tutorial on the accordion flower backdrop seen on this gorgeous DIY wedding, and here it is!

DIY Paper Wheels Backdrop

We made them in two different ways: one like the ones seen at BHLDN, and an easier version of them without the handles (as you may remember seeing a similar one from this project we posted a while ago). Version 1 (simple, without handles): What you’ll need: - 1/8″ hole punch - Glue - 3 sheets of paper (8.5″x11″) per fan Fold the paper lengthwise with 3/4″ or 1/2″ gaps. Version 2 (with popsicle sticks) : What you’ll need: - Popsicle sticks (we drilled a hole on them using dremel tool, but you can buy them with holes at candle supply stores) - Glue - Paper (it can be any patterned paper, either scrapbook or gift wrap will do) Fold the paper lengthwise with 3/4″ or 1/2″ gaps.

See all step-by-step photos in the gallery! DIY Carnival Marquee Letters. This project made by Karen, the bride from this gorgeous wedding, has to be one of my favorite DIY projects for any wedding.

DIY Carnival Marquee Letters

I had this tutorial bookmarked from Design Sponge, but I love how Karen put her twist on it inspired by these marquee letters sold at Urban. Love the vintage carnival feel to her final project! She used foam board (similarly to this DIY hand-lettered chalk sign), so it’s buttery to cut. The red background, large round bulbs and serif font choice really makes the carnival style come to life. What you’ll need: - foam board and poster board, 2 sheets of each - spray paint (metallic silver and red) - G50 light bulbs (bought here, but also found in stores like here) *the bulbs pictured below were not the actual bulbs used in the final product – they are plastic ones found here - hot glue - C9 stringers (like these) - printed letters (use serif font of your choice to achieve the same look) to desired size (just remember they need to fit your foam board!)

DIY Hot Air Balloons Suspended. I now have this sudden urge of throwing a party that requires hot air balloons.

DIY Hot Air Balloons Suspended

Just so I can make these. Karen, the crafty bride from this gorgeous wedding shot by Paul Von Rieter, made these whimsical hot air balloons using large bouncy balls. They are often found at dollar stores, so they can be made affordably. Thank you for sharing, these are incredible! Do-it-Yourself DIY String Wedding Lanterns Yarn Chandeliers. Jessica of Wednesday Inc shows us how to make those gorgeous twine chandeliers from the inspiration shoot she shared with us this morning.

Using balloons, glue and twine, you can also make these lanterns for your wedding – and then bring it home and use it as your very own mid century lampshade. What you will need are: balloons, glue, yarn, tray for glue, corn starch 1/2 cup of Corn starch, 1/4 cup of Warm water, clear fast drying spray paint, hanging lamp cord or fishing line (depending on your desired final product), and a lighting kit if you’re looking for a fully functional lantern. Jessica recommends using a sharpie to mark on the inflated balloon how much room you need to leave for the lighting cord. She also recommends coating the balloon with vaseline prior to wrapping the yarn coated with glue so it doesn’t stick on the balloon once it’s dry.

You can see all the details on Jessica’s blog. Are you getting excited to try to do this at home as much I am? Instructions: 1. Map Coasters - Introduction - MarthaStewart.com. Leather Pennant NecklaceDIY Fashion and Craft Tutorials. I saw a necklace like this on Rebecca's blog a long time ago but I cannot seem to find the photo again!

It was really simple, I found little leather scraps, cut triangles, poked holes, and threaded them through an old necklace. Also, these Converse shoes used to be pink. I had them in 7th grade but I haven't worn them in a while because pink is not really my thing at the moment. Now I wear these shoes ALL THE TIME again.
