I am excited to have your children back in my classroom this year, and I'm looking forward to another great year of productive and engaging reading. We continue our goal to develop skilled, passionate, habitual and critical readers, and are committed to helping every student establish the habits of a reader and a lifelong love of books. To that end, there is no more important homework than reading. We know that students need time to read, at school and at home, every day. When reading is meaningful, understanding cannot be separated from decoding. THIS YEAR your child has a Reading Binder that has most of the materials he/she will need for the entire school year.
