Twee weken geleden kwam de Nederlandse ambassadeur in Zuid-Afrika, André Haspels, in opspraak omdat hij op Facebook een 'like' had geplaatst bij de site Nederland bekent kleur met daarop een stelling tegen de PVV.
Haspels is daarmee de derde ambtenaar die in de belangstelling van de landelijke media komt te staan na een online bericht over de PVV. Eerder overkwam het twee politiemensen, ondertussen ruim een jaar geleden. Het was voor mij aanleiding om een blog te schrijven over het risico dat het uitspreken van een politieke mening ertoe kan leiden dat je als ambtenaar in het oog van een mediastorm komt te staan. De situatie van André Haspels lijkt in veel opzichten op de gevallen van toen.
