The fourth edition of the EFCA Young Professionals competition is open. This event, which is open to all professionals aged 35 or under and working for firms in the membership of a national association within EFCA, aims at highlighting the talent of Europe's next generation of leaders, and at demonstrating the diversity and attractiveness of a career in our sector.

This year’s competition will culminate in an award ceremony during the FIDIC centenary meetings in Barcelona on 15-18 September 2013, which are set to attract a record participation level from around the world, and thus present a unique opportunity to showcase young European talent. In addition to the FIDIC conference, social and networking events, YPs will have the opportunity to attend a forum with fellow YPs from all over the world.

The IEE programme supports projects that spread best practice, transfer know-how and provide training in the field of energy efficiency (in buildings, industry, transport and other transversal areas) as well as renewable energy sources. Applying for Intelligent Energy - Europe funding is a competitive process, and only the best project proposals will be selected for funding. The European Info Day 2012: Programme and registration are available here: Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) Look at the future: Programme for the Competitiveness of enterprises and SMEs (COSME) 2014-2020 With small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as its main target, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) supports innovation activities (including eco-innovation), provides better access to finance and delivers business support services in the regions.

It encourages a better take-up and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and helps to develop the information society. It also promotes the increased use of renewable energies and energy efficiency. The CIP runs from 2007 to 2013 with an overall budget of € 3621 million. The CIP is divided into three operational programmes.
