Incredible Light Painting Patterns. After seeing David Gilliver's gorgeous light paintings in former Nazi-occupied bunkers, we knew that we were only at the beginning of a shockingly amazing art form. Wes Whaley is another "light junkie" who, by day, works as a sales representative for an electrical supply company and, by night, turns into a magnificent artist. Incredibly, none of his pictures are Photoshopped. "I use no post processing of any kind on my shots," he tells us. "As for the patterns I make, I shape EL wire on a screen and spin it in a circle. " So what's in Whaley's tool box? "I use a Canon Rebel XS, EL wire, RBG strips, and a tripod," he says. As for advice he'd give to others interested in picking up this art form, Wesley's quick to say, "Get some EL wire and experiment it's awesome stuff! " Wes Whaley on Flickr. Yema — Home. The brain is the most complex organ in the human body, and perhaps the most amazing. Using cardboard boxes, artist Yaron Steinberg created this interesting installation which shows us what he imagines his own brain to look like. One peak inside and you'll instantly notice a considerable amount of detail, including lots of tiny houses that resemble the tight-fit favelas of Brazil. My favorite part is the toy train that circles around; it's as if Steinberg's brain is daydreaming.
Check out the videos, below, to see the installation in more detail. Yaron Steinberg's websitevia [The Fox is Black] Refreshing Photography from an 18-Year-Old. London, UK-based Francesca Jane Allen is a fashionable and talented 18 year-old photographer. She works primarily in film, taking candid images and portraits while dabbling with fashion on the side. Like many young photographers, she is attempting to discover a style that makes her happy.
As a self-proclaimed "bored teenager," Allen has done an excellent job in using that feeling to motivate herself into creating interesting images. Excited to see how her style evolves with time. " It would be easy to guess that photographer Gloria Marigo draws inspiration from Tim Walker. Her dream-like photos have that touch of whimsy that feels somewhat familiar. The 22-year-old photographer reached out to us to tell us about your works, and we are more than happy that she did. Using an interesting set of props including animal masks, balloons and plastic toys, she whisks us away to another world filled with mystery and magic.
