Les textes ont été découverts par la Fondation Pave the Way , fondée par le juif américain Gary Krupp. Selon lui, les révélations qu’on y trouve peuvent aider à mieux comprendre les circonstances des agissements de Pie XII. Au milieu des documents retrouvés dans les archives américaines, figure la correspondance entre le représentant britannique près le Saint-Siège, sir D'Arcy Osborne, et Myron Taylor, représentant du président américain Franklin D. Roosevelt près le Saint-Siège. ROME, Mardi 18 mai 2011 ( ZENIT.org ) – LesEtats-Unis et la Grande-Bretagne ont exercé des pressions sur le pape Pie XII pour qu’il ne dise rien sur les brutalités nazies, évitant ainsi que ses protestations aient d’autres conséquences, révèlent des documents jusqu’ici inédits.
