Remote Control Helicopter Glossary Of Terms

Have you ever wondered what a Centrifugal Force is? Or perhaps had many sleepless nights over your Feathering Shaft (not know what the hell it is for a start!). Well you have found the right place.

HeliSimRC

HeliSimRC is intended to be used as a flight training tool, not a game. The design focus in writing this software was not on pretty graphics or a fancy look and feel. Instead, the emphasis is on authentic modeling of helicopter flight characteristics, and on offering features which enhance the flight training functionality of the software. My main goal in writing this software, is to provide new RC helicopter pilots a free simulator which is accurate enough to provide good training for flying their real helicopter. If you're one of these pilots, and anything like me, you would rather spend your money on helicopter parts or batteries, than a simulator! http://www.marksfiles.net/HeliSim/index.htm

Rotory

Years ago, on occasion I recall, my late Dad saying; “nothing material is forever”, as I matured in age, his phrase continued to take on new meaning. Well, it looks like Dad’s old phrase appropriately fits my message today. It is with deepest regret that we announce to our loyal readers and the RC industry, that after nineteen years of publishing, Linda and I have finally reached the decision that this January issue, will be our last. http://www.rotory.com/site/Rotory.html

The move has allowed us to expand not just the size of the shop, but has allowed us to stock more products and offer better service. We carry a wide range of R/C cars, helicopters, planes, boats, plastic and wood models, rockets, HO, and N trains. In addition, we have a selection of used planes, r/c cars, and helicopters.

http://www.rchelicopterweb.com/LearningToFly/LearningToFly.htm Have an experienced flyer help you : Setting up a helicopter for the first time is not easy. It is very unlikely that you will setup the heli correctly by yourself. A helicopter that has been setup properly flies much better and is more predictable! Furthermore, he may give you additional hints and tips on learning and he may point you at certain mistakes you make, which may be very helpful. Finding a good instructor is the most valuable investment in your helicopter hobby.
