Chaîne de cadburyaurollpack. Google's Long History of Social Media Attempts [INFOGRAPHIC] Sure Facebook privacy issues can be frustrating, but what's the alternative? With more than 400 million users, no other social media platform has been able to touch Facebook's grip on person-to-person networking. But rumors have already started to fly that Facebook may soon face some stiff new competition. Google is supposedly getting into the market with Google Me, a not-yet-launched, oft-rumored social network that will directly compete with Facebook. Nothing is for certain yet, but more and more sources are saying Google Me does exist, and that could mean good things for all of us. If anyone were to take on Facebook, Google has the engineering talent, deep pockets, and customer loyalty required to give it a fair shot.

Still, Google hasn't had the best track record when it comes to social media attempts. Rather than a boring old list of past efforts, we decided to put together a graphical timeline with text by our very own Stephanie Marcus and graphics by Shane Snow. eLearn: Case Studies - Why Don't Teachers Adopt Technology?

Learning Technology for 2015. So the big question this month is "What will workplace learning technology look like in 2015? " That is a great question to ask and got me thinking about the longer range plans for the elearning that I am producing today. Not only will the content be outdated by 2015 but quite possibly the delivery method as well.

I've been doing some work recently with some elementary children and the imagination that they have is wonderful. They are very creative and resourceful which leads me to believe that they will demand that their workplace in the future will also need to be creative and resourceful. So for predictions on learning technology in 2015 here are my thoughts.... I think we'll see more mobile learning and less learning tied to the PC. People want to be able to access their learning at anytime from anywhere. I think that there will be more informal learning incorporated into the training/learning programs. We're going to have to get creative to meet the demands of the future employees. Tools for the 21st Century Teacher.

2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Más allá de la innovación tradicional. iPad For Education Revisited :: The Education Business Blog. It’s been four weeks and my iPad still has that new computer smell.

Now that I’ve been using it in my workflow I wanted to post some additional comments on it’s utility in an educational setting. In general I think my original take holds up well – this is fantastic tool for consuming content, is extremely useful as an outboard content manager, and passable in a pinch as a creation tool (this whole post was written on it). On a meta level it is truly amazing how natural the “point and do” nature of the touch interface feels. Once you understand the grammar of the device it all just flows. A mouse now feels clunky for most operations other than image processing or massive spreadsheets. I don’t think I will ever buy another laptop – although I will continue to need a desktop/office machine (for a while).
