Online - Account Activity. Jolly Rancher Vodka Tutorial. Alcohol. Drinkify. Drinks With Vodka. Limoncello Recipe. Limoncello While searching for a good recipe for Limoncello, I found a lot of conflicting information. Some recipes use vodka, others use grain alcohol (without specifying the potency, which varies) and others even used rum! The alcohol-to-water-to-sugar ratios also varied widely, and it made me wonder if people had typos in the recipes, or were just posting a recipe they had never even tasted!

So I started with the premise that grain alcohol will extract the most lemon oil and flavor from lemon zest. Then I adjusted the water and sugar levels until I had a recipe where I liked the potency and the sweetness balances the tartness of the lemon. Here's what I've come up with: Limoncello 3 pounds lemons, preferably organic. 16 oz. grain alcohol, 190 proof (I use Everclear) Wash the lemons thoroughly in warm water, and rinse well.

On the 3rd day: 4 cups sugar 4 cups (=32 oz.) water 1/2 cup (=4 oz.) lemon juice Clemencello My latest discovery! Chocolate Covered Beer Marshmallows. I made marshmallows with beer. Not water. But beer. That stuff you drank in college. That stuff you might drink now. Freaking? See… beer marshmallows are kind of like beer braised short ribs. I didn’t really think I liked beer either. So what do beer marshmallows taste like? They melt in your mouth like fluffy vanilla pillows with a slight hint of… wait for it… beer. Oh, hi beer marshmallows! You’re cute. I definitely coated these marshmallows in both milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Annnnd just in case you didn’t notice, there are a billion crumbles of salty pretzel on top.

Heaven? I’m pretty much in love with these things. I want to make another batch – uncut this time- to lay my head down on at night. That would be a sweet nap. So yeah… only one problem when you make chocolate covered beer marshmallows. Youcan’tstopeatingthem. [print_this] Beer Marshmallows makes one 9 x 13 pan of marshmallows, cut however you desire 3 1/2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (I used Knox) 2 cups granulated sugar.
