Researchers at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory claim a novel approach to accessing patient medical records — using the human body as the 3D framework in the same way that Google Earth uses the Earth as a framework to fuse and navigate geospatial information.

Second Life with 3DConnexion Space Navigator. I recently got ControllerMate in order to work with my new toy, a 3DConnexion Space Navigator device.
I got the Navigator mainly so I could waste countless hours in Second Life without using my silly arrow keys-- but I also figured it could come in handy in any number of other situations later. And, as expected, the Mac Support in the 3DConnexion software was not particularly impressive, or customizable-- and so I began playing with CM to bridge the gap. Anyway, thanks to the CM software I now have Second Life's control working very nicely with my Navigator. Since I didn't find much in the way of example files or prebuilt configs for this when I started in, I thought I would post what I have come up with.
