Blade Lubricant We have important installation changes that went into effect this past month. Our fan’s struts will no longer be lubricated during production but instead we will send a tube of lubricant with each fan. The lubricant will be attached to the fan strut along with a warning label that must be removed prior to installing the airfoils. The lubricant is very important because it enables our fans to operate silently. We are shifting from lubricating the struts during production to lubricating them in the field to eliminate the mess that occurs when lifting the fan by its struts. Instructions WARNING: Failure to adhere to these instructions will cause excess noise! Remove the cap and cut the tip off the provided tube.Apply lubricant in 4 spots on the top and bottom of each strut. 2. We’ve updated some of our mounts. We’ve changed the AirVolution-D universal mount so that it no longer requires a plate on the extension.
