Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Tweak Guide. Author: Koroush Ghazi Last Modified: December 2010 Printable Version: Printing Guides Introduction The pursuit of quality, attention to detail: these things are fast becoming a rarity in today's world. This is doubly true when it comes to modern PC games. The formula-driven first person shooters just keep coming, each more inane than the last, each promising great gameplay, but instead delivering only flashy graphics and proving to be ever-more uncreative and repetitive. It was in this environment of unoriginality that I first played an Elder Scrolls game - Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
To say that Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been a much-anticipated sequel to Morrowind is a huge understatement. Well Oblivion has finally been released, and I can genuinely vouch for the fact that it is not only a worthy successor to Morrowind; it ups the stakes to a whole new level. Optimising Oblivion v3.0: Into Modblivion - PC Games - Game - Features. MOD LIST UPDATED: 28/4/06, 30/4/06 1/5/06, 11/5/06 (look for UPDATED and NEW entries) This feature is Part 3 of our Optimising Oblivion v2.0 guide (be sure to read and follow this so the game runs smoothly and beautifully), but is posted seperately because it's just so darn big. In fact, this piece has been in production since Oblivion was released, and we've been holding off posting it until the modding community was well underway. And now is just about right. The art of Oblivion modding Just to set the scene for what mods are and what they can do for you: it's been just over a month since Oblivion was released, and there are already over 500 mods available.
That's an average of 17 a day, produced by a legion of fans with nothing but the game and the official Construction Set in hand. This modding community comprises talented, intelligent, passionate gamers who each bring to the game their own specialty and style. Why mods? That's the why, now let's get onto the how. TOTO - The Oblivion Texture Overhaul. Site Last Updated 03/24/2009 The Oblivion Texture Overhaul (TOTO) is not a mod itself, but rather a guide to a lot of great mods that improve the appearance of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. TOTO is an ongoing community project to create a resource guide that includes comparison screenshots, installation instructions, download mirror listings, etc.
The overall goal is to improve immersion in Oblivion by documenting various texture replacers, as well as correcting omissions and oddities, improving performance, and reducing compatibility problems for these texture replacers. The topics in this guide will address these issues. In the future, the TOTO team may release patch files, updates, tweaks, and combo packs in an attempt to meet the stated goals of the project. Anyone who isn't already doing so, should download Oblivion Mod Manager or Wrye Bash (or both!) There are many excellent texture replacers for Oblivion. I've also updated the Texture Help page with additional tips. Let's Talk Horses, Lap 2. I like horses. A lot. Sometimes at sunset I just ride facing the sun (Subtle Sunshine), Screeny and Beaming Sunglareamong the tall trees of Natural Environments' Natural Vegetation 200%, or Enhanced Vegetation 150%, not hurrying, just walking the horse...
Peace... Tranquillity... I like Slof's old horses and Slof's new horses... funny, resilient, essential NPC all of them, except Corepc's new application of them within Mart's Monster Mod. I rarely steal horses... not that I can't just... doesn't feel right... There aren't many sights sadder than a dead horse or a horse staying next to their slain riders... What I use: Slof's Base Horses 2.0.
Deadly Reflex 6 and especially the revived Horseback Combat. Slof's Dogs are not horses but they are nice! MMM_Slofs_Horses_Complete by Corepc and MMM team gives you all 312 types of horses created so far by AlienSlof, provided you use it together with Mart's Monster Mod 3.7 b2 BSA or with the original textures and meshes from Slof's mods. I love the changes that mod adds to gameplay. I have a question about it for anyone who had played lot of hours with the mod.

Desertor, on Nov 9 2009, 10:25 AM, said: Are you weaker to magika if you master in blades? Hey desertor! Note, however, that some actors MAY have no specialisation (i.e. they're equally strong in several disciplines).so they may have a damaging spell (silence) and attack with a strong blade skill.this may seem unbalanced on paper, but in-game it becomes arbitrary.the player simply needs to play with common sense: i would wade into a party of small orcs but never against champions with shamans and assassins as support. re: Customisable HUD components Quote.
Devnull.devakm - The Oblivion Quest List. New Location! Update your bookmarks and links! Last Updated 03/03/2008 The Oblivion Quest List (TOQL) is intended to be a comprehensive guide to good quest mods for TES IV: Oblivion. It is a community project, in the sense that all of the mods here have been recommended by members of the mod community. What makes a good quest? A good quest must, at a bare minimum, have an in-game story, a goal, a challenge, and a conclusion. Above all, a quest should be fun, either because of the way it challenges you or because of the way it tells a story -- or, if you're really lucky, both of these elements. I've split the list into big quest mods and small quest mods. If you have questions or feedback about these mods or the list itself, you can always post to the latest ESF thread.
So, with all that out of the way, here are the lists! Big Quest Mods Small Quest Mods This project never would have started if not for DragoonWraith. Environment Mod List. Environment Mod Listby WrinklyNinja Introduction There are a fantastic variety of mods out there that change the environment. This list/comparison is my attempt to bring together up-to-date information on all the most popular/highly recommended of such mods.
It was brought about due partly to Dev Akm's work on TOTO, which was a great inspiration, partly due to the success of bg2408's mod lists/comparisons, and partly due to my realisation that there was no definitive place where newbies and seasoned mod users alike could go for information regarding environment mods. The mods listed here do not add any new items or objects to the game, they do not change the landscape around you, they are not simply texture replacers. What they do do is change bits of the game to give it a different atmosphere. Many players will find that they do not need a mod to change an aspect listed here, and that is to be expected - the need for such mods is personal.
