SWTOR Companion Gifts Guide: How to buy your love. [Updated 4/17/2012 - Game Update 1.2 Ship Droids affection] As we all know by now, our decisions and actions can please or displease our companions. And since your character will be stuck with the same companions for the rest of his….virtual life, might as well make them like you. Unfortunately, you won’t win their hearts with good looks and a charming smile….yes, unlike real life, in SWTOR money CAN buy love! Companion gifts are the way to gain the affection of your trusty comrades and they are categorized in ranks from 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest rank and 5 the highest. Since it’s doubtful that Qyzen Fess will appreciate the old box of chocolates and flowers you must know that each companion likes only certain types of gifts. Gifts are also classified by quality: green (the most common), blue (obviously superior and provide 50% additional affection compared to green ones) and purple (very rare). Received affection points from gifting also vary on your affection level.

Ask a Mercenary thread 2.0. Hello all and welcome back. Some of you may remember me from my extremely long thread started a few weeks ago where I tried to answer as many questions as possible about Mercenary. If you don't, here's a brief synopsis of me and my time in beta. I was invited to closed beta back in late June. Between then and now I've leveled BH to 50 multiple times, accumulating nearly 200 levels of experience.

My main focus is PvP, especially grouped based in both warzones and open world. I'd like to do this thread a bit differently than the last one as my time is fairly limited with the game launching, the holidays, and other real life things to tend to. I'll start with posting my hybrid spec that I used for most of my time in beta with some brief commentary. For the most part I use High Velocity Gas Cylinder (HVGC) with Tracer Missiles, Explosive Dart, Fusion Missile, and Unload in hopes of critting to vent 8 heat. The flashpoints in ToR are instanced multiplayer content involving high level difficulty NPCs and are accessible on Valkien Station at the Imperial Fleet.

They are designed to be run in most cases with 4 players, however the first 2 (Black Talon and Hammer Station) have been tuned for as little as 2. While 4 players are advised you can often succeed at clearing a flashpoint with up to two companions. One of the things that sets ToR flashpoints apart from other MMOs is the composition of the trash packs within them. Flashpoints award high level rewards such as armor, weapons, and mods. 8.2 Too Many Chiefs Prior to endgame and perhaps even during it you may often find yourself as a tank being responsible for the coordination and leadership of the flashpoints you run. 8.3 Setting the Scene * Will we be completing bonus objectives?
