Sitting at the edge of a 70-meter high cliff, the house takes advantage of the bountiful vistas at such altitude. Durbach Block Architects out of Sydney, Australia based the plan of the house on Picasso's painting The Bathers. For a bit of context, from 1918 on, Picasso spent his summers by the sea. Jingzhou Sports Center in the downtown area of Jingzhou city, China, will be designed by the collaboration of Chinese practice DUO and China National Sports Group.
The 550 by 470 meter site will be positioned within the urban center. It will be dedicated to athletic activities as well as for shopping, concerts and fairs. This masterplan is creating a complex which merges cultural and functional entities, and will be an attraction to visitors throughout the year. Underwater Hotel in Dubai. The sci-fi styled Water Discus underwater luxury hotel, in Dubai, will house 21 two-guest rooms, and sit about 33 feet (10 m) below the sea.
Water Discus Hotel consists of two parts, the underwater and the above-water. This combination will allow guests to admire the underwater view while making the most of the mild climate. A large central shaft connects the two parts of the structure containing a lift and stairway. Three adjustable columns add further support to the above-surface portion of the structure. The construction will come from the collaboration of Drydocks World and BIG InvestConsult AG representing Polish firm Deep Ocean Technology (DOT).
