Pitch Pitch is the front-to-back angle of the seat. It determines how much the seat causes the rider to slide into the tank, how much pressure is placed on the wrists, and how much soft tissue in the buttocks is pushed away from below the sitting bones (ischium). A more forward pitching seat pushes the rider into the tank, places more pressure on the wrists, and pushes soft tissue out from under the ischium, thereby causing them to be irritated more quickly. The pictures to the right and below show this relationship.

The picture to the right shows a close-up of a level placed on a stock Honda VFR seat with its cover removed. Below are a couple more pictures of a Honda VFR seat. And here are a couple of pictures of a Suzuki GSXR600 seat—that's a sweet bike! One part of the seat that helps decrease the obnoxious forward slide of so many stock seats is a well-shaped "nose. " Rear Brake Lite Switch. CRG Cool Parts. The Hindsight LS (Lane Split) Bar End Mirror was created by adding the folding / retractable feature to the original Hindsight. There are two primary benefits of the retracting bar end mirror—added clearance during tight riding conditions, and reduced width for bike storage. Simply pull in the bezel of the mirror to create additional clearance, then fold the bezel back out against its positive stop in the full open position and the sighting of the mirror returns perfectly to its rear vision position. The detent folding mechanism is calibrated to retract should the mirror contact an immovable object, thus allowing forward motion without disruption of steering control.

The pivot of the hinge features a ball / spring detent which holds the mirror bezel in the full open or full retracted positions. The pivot also features dust rings that provide for years of maintenance free operation. Chopper Builders. Welcome To The Chopper Builders Handbook Online The primary objective of the Chopper Builders handbook is to provide basic information that will enable everyone to successfully build their own Chopper from scratch.

Update Nov. 20, 2011 As many people are aware the old original Chopper Builders Handbook site suffered what we initially thought was a catastrophic hardware and software failure in early 2011. This 'crash' destroyed not only the primary data on the main server and raid disks but also all of the data on our backup server. We took the drives to a service shop in an attempt to recover the files and found that the 'crash' was most likely a deliberate hack of the site that somehow went very badly. The only data that was actually destroyed beyond repair were the image files. As a result of this situation we're presently in the process of rebuilding the site from the ground up but that will take a considerable effort and most likely be a long and drawn out process.
