NSPIRES Registration Information

Organizations that would like to register with NSPIRES are required to have a valid registration with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) . Once the organization has a CCR record, the listed Organization Point of Contact must register as a user with NSPIRES, log on, then begin the organization registration process.
The grants will be used to develop resources to help "enhance secondary students' academic experiences and improve educators' abilities to engage and stimulate their students" in STEM subjects. All of the proposed programs focus particularly on NASA-themed content. The programs to be funded incorporate a range of technologies, from online social networking to virtual learning to digital media, including materials focused on teacher professional development. A total of $12.1 million will be awarded to 13 individual projects that have been proposed by non-profit organizations, universities, and education agencies.

NSPIRES Change: Proposal Submission Requires Team Member Organizational Relationship | SpaceRef - Your Space Reference

This email is to update you on changes that will be made to NSPIRES on August 8, 2009. These changes will affect submission of proposals to NASA, and are being implemented to improve the process by which potential conflicts of interest are determined. For a proposal to be submitted after August 7, 2009, all proposal team members must confirm an organizational relationship, i.e., identify the organization through which they are participating in a given proposal. A proposal will not be able to be submitted if an organizational relationship is missing for any team member, regardless of role on the proposal (e.g. Co-I, collaborator, etc). http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.rss.html?pid=31925
