Because I apparently had nothing better to do with my time and focus, I’d have Cranes invitations printed, would dress in my finest floral dress or suit, and welcome 15-30 girls into my parents’ house, where we’d all toast one another with sparkling grape juice and feast on chicken salad with dill and baked brie and things like that. And so what if most of us have long since replaced the grape juice with the hard stuff…and so what if few of us look as good in our floral suits today as we did back then. If you’re like us and love to stay in to watch movies and gorge on food (if you’re reading this, we’re pretty sure that’s the case), then check out Troll 2 for a certified fun time. First off, let’s start by saying that nothing about this movie is good, but that’s what makes it so amazing. The plot revolves around the Waits’ family vacation to Nilbog, a small town out in the country. But Nilbog is not quite right. OK enough with the small talk, lets get to the food! Thank goodness for those college communication classes, right?! Last week I mentioned MashUps – not the music kind, but the food kind. The one I use for the Hedgehogs is the basic one you probably have filed away, or it is on the back of your cereal box. You'll need to make 1 recipe for this project. After combining all ingredients, let your treat mix cool for a couple of minutes in the pot. You'll be handling these with your bare hands and you don't want hot marshmallow to stick to your fingers. All the recipes I've ever read about shaping treats says to butter your hands before shaping. For dipping I use 1 cup of chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons shortening.
