Ace Hotel / Signage: Neon, Windows, Wayfinding / The Official Manufacturing Company. While working for the Atelier Ace from 2005 to 2009, our own Jeremy Pelley helped to lay down the diverse foundation of the award-winning Ace Hotel brand. Under the creative direction of the four original partners, he helped produce high-level branding solutions, graphics and products for each of the Ace Hotel properties. A wide assortment of ephemera was created over the years, including everything from the Pendleton wool blankets, wayfinding signage, and artwork installations, to the stationery, products, ads, invitations and much, much more. Far too much work was produced to list here in its entirety, and since nothing is templated at Ace, it is best experienced in person at each property to understand the depth and breadth of the branding solutions. After leaving Atelier Ace in 2009 to co-found OMFGCO, the company was subsequently hired by Ace to continue developing the brand voice.

The new building, drawn by Kristin Jarmund Arkitekter (KJARK), is situated at Vulkan in Oslo, an old industrial area. It was nominated for both the Statens Byggskikkpris and Oslo City Architecture Award 2012. The building is charaterized by it´s industrial and rough expression, which became an importaint factor in the design process.

Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park Wayfinding system Makara Peak is a mountain bike and conservation park in Wellington. The park has multiple users including mountain bikers, walkers and vehicles.

This wayfinding project builds upon the existing internationally recognised grading system and aims to make Makara Peak easier for mountain bikers to navigate, increasing its accessibility for new riders. The wayfinding needed to stand out from it’s surroundings without visually polluting the conservation park, diminishing the thrill and adventure of mountain biking.

However, the wayfinding needed to also be legible from a distance and when travelling at speed. Due to the parks minimal funding the proposed wayfinding reduces installation costs by utilising the existing bollard structures. Throughout the park helpful biking tips and warnings of upcoming obstacles are placed along the tracks. We have created a universal system we believe could be applied on a regional or national scale. Signage and Wayfinding for Innovation Center on Behance. The Science and Technology Park of University of Porto is a space for mutual leverage of skills between academia and businesses. Capable of creating an environment conductive to innovation and to the installation of technology-based and or creative businesses it is an outstanding example of how to bring academic knowledge and business closer together, through its strategy of sharing research findings and fostering local entrepreneurship.

The project is spreading modern and structural change across the north of Portugal, demonstrating how active universities in previously poorer regions of Europe can lead the move to smart growth. With the opening of the Innovation Center in Porto the building itself had to become the communication catalyst of UPTEC’s values. WATER FORMULA on Behance. Case Studies - Wayfinding Consultants.
