SANTEE — The Santee City Council on Wednesday adopted a resolution to use grant funds from the California Coastal Conservancy to purchase 125 acres along the San Diego River, east of Santee Town Center. The Hanlon-Walker property, stretching from Magnolia Avenue near the RCP Block & Brick plant to the city’s eastern boundary, would cost $2.2 million. The San Diego River Conservancy has secured a $1 million grant through the U.S.
