The mission of the Business Incubation Center (BIC) at the Community Business Partnership is to provide an atmosphere where small businesses can grow and prosper.
A business incubator (as defined by Wikipedia) is a program designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services, developed and orchestrated by incubator management and offered both in the incubator and through its network of contacts.

Open to adults over the age of 18 who are legal US residents. The Contest is intended primarily for new, independent ventures in the seed, start-up, or early growth stages.

The application period opens on July 1, 2011 . Applications are due on November 9, 2011 .
There are two tracks of this competition. For the International Track, teams must consist of 2 to 5 members who are students or recent alumni of a non-U.S. higher education institution. There must be at least one full time student on each team.

Business plans must be for a start-up, early stage venture, buy-out, or expansion of an existing business enterprise NOT exceeding five years in business.November 10, 2011 — Amazon Web Services LLC (AWS), an Amazon.com company, today announced Fantasy Shopper as the winner of the fifth annual AWS Start-Up Challenge. Fantasy Shopper was awarded $50,000 in cash and $50,000 in AWS credits, AWS premium support services for one year and technical mentorship from Amazon Web Services. AWS also awarded Localytics with the second place prize, and the company received $25,000 in AWS credits and AWS premium support services for one year.
