So, while Marlin ventures off to try to retrieve Nemo, Marlin meets a fish named Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss.

Short film
A short film is any film not long enough to be considered a feature film . No consensus exists as to where that boundary is drawn: the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". [ 1 ] The term featurette originally applied to a film longer than a short subject, but shorter than a standard feature film. The increasingly rare term short subject means approximately the same thing.
Independent film
An independent film is a professional film production resulting in a feature film that is produced mostly or completely outside of the major film studio system. In addition to being produced and distributed by independent entertainment companies, independent films are also produced and/or distributed by subsidiaries of major film studios . Independent films are sometimes distinguishable by their content and style and the way in which the filmmakers' personal artistic vision is realized. Usually, but not always, independent films are made with considerably lower film budgets than major studio films. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Generally, the marketing of independent films is characterized by limited release , but can also have major marketing campaigns and a wide release .
Action film is a film genre in which one or more heroes are thrust into a series of challenges that typically include physical feats, extended combat scenes , violence , and frenetic chases. Action films tend to feature a resourceful character struggling against incredible odds, including life-threatening situations, a villain , or a pursuit, which generally conclude in victory for the hero. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] While action films are a reliable source of revenue for movie studios, particularly if they feature well-known characters in history or fiction, relatively few garner critical praise. Possible explanations point to their two-dimensional characters and the perceived lack of intellectual content in the genre. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] Advancements in CGI have made it cheaper and easier to create action sequences and other visual effects that required the efforts of professional stunt crews in the past.
