Let us know! Introduction The primary goal of collection development at the LaGuardia Library Media Resource Center is to support the College’s immediate academic needs. Collection Development has a commitment to support the informational and research needs of the College’s many academic programs as well as specific obligations to support programs subject to accreditation review. The Library also has a commitment to the LaGuardia community at large providing materials of practical and intellectual value to enhance the LaGuardia educational experience overall. The media collection consists of video and other multimedia in physical form, the bulk of which is housed in the Media Resources Center in Carrier Library. Media titles are also located in the Music Library and Rose Library to correspond with the needs of academic programs in proximity to these facilities. Why We Weed. Your librarians for this site are Mary Kelly and Holly Hibner. We are public librarians in Michigan. We have both been holding court at various reference desks for over ten years and love talking about library collections and library service. We also regularly present and consult on various library topics. This site is a collection of library holdings that we find amusing and/or questionable for libraries trying to maintain a current and relevant collection.
