by Chris Allison ( @Chris_Allison ) CMO of Centsports . A few days back, for no particular reason, I started thinking more about how to search for useful information on Twitter. Then Twitter announced they were integrating search.twitter.com with the main platform, so the time to learn has never been better. Not only am I interested, but it seems the hive mind has deemed it important as well (you know all this micro-blogging is turning us into a hive mind don’t you?)

http://www.mikearauz.com/2009/09/this-stuff-isnt-simple.html I was reading last week's New Yorker article about Zappos and was reminded what a great example they are of a company that does all this "social media" stuff well. I know that Zappos is a go to reference for a brand that gets Twitter. But, I feel like over the past 6 months or so, we've become tired of using Zappos as an example for other brands and companies who are trying to find their footing in this still nascent marketing environment. (This may very well just be me. Please let me know in the comments if you feel the same, or otherwise.)

tweetzi / Real-time Twitter Search & Trends

You will notice that as you search Twitter using tweetzi we display your search queries as tabs down the right of the screen. This allows you to quickly access different search result streams and is useful if you are following several twitter users, breaking news or a range of different interests. With tweetzi you can conduct a Twitter search and then set the results to update in real-time without the need for you to refresh the page or repeat the search. This feature is useful for things like breaking news, important keynotes / webcasts, live blogging / tweeting, live sports events and more. Twitter is a highly popular 'micro-blogging' service that allows users to post text updates (up to 140 characters in length) via sms, instant messaging and the web. As Twitter has grown it has become a key 'pulse of the web' offering an incredible new source of fresh real-time information.
