Sadly, it breaks every cork we've tried to use it with (more than 8 attempts). My engineer hubby knew how much I loved it and tried oiling it to see if that would help. It also tends to stick in the bottle and neither one of us can pull it out, again, without breaking the cork. The plus is a major upper body workout trying to free it!
