For over a year now we've been working on a full rewrite of the code behind HF in order to upgrade it so we can do a better job of preventing and fixing bugs, and adding new features.
That rewrite is finally done and ready for some final testing before replacing the current version. Most of the changes in this rewrite are behind the scenes, but here is a highlight of some of the visible changes * New upgraded user interface. Not a major change, just a facelift of the same basic design. * Stories are now featured more prominently with a new tabbed interface. * Search engine now has much more powerful filtering options. * New more friendly URL scheme. Old URLs will continue to work, redirecting to the new ones. * New text editor for submitting comments/descriptions/profile text/stories/etc.
