You'll need to give yourself a couple of days to freeze the layers. Material: A 3-liter empty soda container that you will cut the top Distilled water Fruit such as lemons, limes, star fruit, or cranberries Duct tape (only in case the bottle floats up in the water) Place the bottle of vodka inside the 3-liter container and fill with an inch or two of the distilled water - freeze until solid. When the base is frozen you can begin adding slice fruit or berries around the bottle and fill with more water to just cover the fruit layer - freeze until solid. Once the first fruit layer is frozen you can add your next layer in the same manner, filling with distilled water enough to cover the fruit.

All-Occasion Seed Packets: Free Graphics

Recently, I posted how to create tiny pea pod pendants, and the very next week I found a vintage peas seed packet among my ephemera stash. So I went about scanning and modifying it to create a little gift packet to hold the necklace for placing in a gift box. (Feel free to snag the image below for yourself!) Next thing I know, with little packets on the brain, I’m designing more and more with fun bright graphics. I saved each individual packet image large enough for you to use at any size printable on a letter size sheet. To make your packets, print out and trim along the edges of the graphics. Fold up the bottom, and in the short side and spread a bit of glue stick adhesive along each. They make great little note card envelopes, pockets for small supplies, party favor holders or gift card wrappers. I’ll be using one for my needles and think they would make cute little travel sewing kits. Tuck a little loot in one for someone special.

The Kitchen: Cute Cupcake Wrappers!

They were so incredibly cute! I immediately wanted to buy some, but they were $12 for a dozen, plus additional for shipping! It was super expensive for what it was. I had a bunch of scrap-booking paper and materials, so I brought them out and started to experiment! First, I carefully disassembled a cupcake liner, and then taped it down to a sheet of paper to create a pattern/cut-out. Then, the fun began! I stamped some... ...and others I embellished with rhinestones!

A few hours later, I had a whole stack of them! I was super tired that day and didn't have the time/energy to bake a batch of cupcakes for the Cupcake Wrapper Photoshoot, so I ran out to Whole Foods to purchase some.
