Wedding Inspiration Boards by Color

Looking to coordinate with your wedding’s color scheme? We’ve got ‘em! Chrissy Ott, editor of The Perfect Palette, sent us these incredible inspiration boards which combine our love for handmade and her expertise in color palettes. And, since it is easier to find an accessory first (rather than find one to match your palette later) Chrissy used a handmade clutch as the focal point for each board. Hydrangea Table Runner / Wedding Design Inspiration #2. Posted July 21, 2011 | 9 Comments If I had my way, all tables in the world would have a cascading table runner filled with hydrangeas like this one. This beautiful green hydrangea table runner – second in today’s ongoing wedding design inspiration – will pretty up your place settings with decor that won’t overpower your tablescape.

In fact, these hydrangeas are so pretty on their own that your tablescape would be nearly complete without additional decor required. I love the elegant way the flowers cascade past the table and all the way down to the floor. Plus, this table runner provides a fragrant floral scent and a bright pop of color.

Fabric Boutonnieres. Please excuse this little wedding post - we've got less than two months to go, so all the DIY details are on my mind. Adam recently decided to buy a suit (actually two) instead of renting a tuxedo. He's going with a black suit/white shirt/black tie, similar to this Ralph Lauren model's look (the 'Blue Steel' pose is optional). His two groomsmen - and brothers - will be wearing something similar, but obviously their suits won't be exactly the same.

When we thought they'd all be in matching tuxes, we decided to skip the boutonnieres (I'm not a big boutonniere fan to begin with). But now I'm thinking that a cute - and unique - boutonniere could help link their looks together, and add some more fun to the day too. This green, white and yellow version from Katie-byrd's shop is all kinds of cute, and a little rustic too: 50 Wedding Websites You Cant Live Without. Stylish Wedding Ideas. Handstiched Anthropologie Wedding. Being a display designer for Anthropologie naturally inspired our next bride, PJ, to design a wedding with handmade and whimsical details on a very reasonable budget. Lucky for you, PJ now designs handmade weddings over at Going Lovely. Farmhouse Brunch Inspiration. A couple of weeks ago I fell in love with this gorgeous inspiration shoot when it was featured on Style Me Pretty. The pretty farmhouse-inspired details feel so down to earth while showcasing an abundance of countryside beauty. Using the honeybee as muse, sweet bee and honey references are sprinkled throughout the design with cute little jars of honey as favors and honey dippers used as twizzle sticks in cocktails. The overall look is so unfussy yet warm and inviting that I just can’t get enough. Lace cake + seersucker suits + the perfect... Aright here we go… I believe it was Friday, girls and boys, when we stumbled upon something I believe I will choose never to speak of again on this blog.

lace cake + seersucker suits + the perfect...

Something so hilariously in bad taste, something so phenomenally beyond the pale of what should happen on television, let alone in reality… something so redonkulously redonk, that I – well, simply put, I have very few to no words to speak on it. … so instead, I shall quote one of my many favorite lines from it. Oh, what was it? *It* was the Hooters 2011 International Swimsuit Pageant. Yes. Announcer: “Brooke is an Alabama football fan! LOL. Ok, so other than that, this weekend was pretty packed with happy thoughts and occurrences. . … The above magnet is what my lovely sister brought home for me from her week in the Hamptons. Wedding Blog: Smores Bar Desserts

Many couples feel if they are going to spend thousands of dollars on this day, it should be one that they will enjoy and one that is filled with all things that they enjoy. So, when I ran across the idea of having a S’mores Bar during a wedding reception, I immediately fell head over heels in love … It is such a warm, family friendly idea (reminds me of the times spent telling stories around the campfire). It is an idea that has definitely been preserved over the years and lately is seems to have had a ‘face-lift’. photo credit: ellybevents.comPin it You can now see a s’mores bar literally on a bar set in rocks with burners serving as your flame source.
