Nutrition and Physical Activity for Lifelong Health was developed through the Carol M. White Physical Education Program, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education. The 20-lesson curriculum was designed specifically for high school students in Alternative Education Programs such as continuation high schools, community day schools and schools located in juvenile detention facilities.
The goal of this course is to give students a basis of knowledge and skills to make healthy lifestyle choices that support their whole "well-being" and encourage them to make positive changes in their nutrition and physical activity health behaviors.
