Is it time for an FSM billboard? Published June 7th, 2011 by Bobby Henderson Can you picture it? It could be amazing, if we do it right. I’ve mentioned it before and had mixed responses. Here are my thoughts: It can’t be negative. As an example, I was not a fan of the You Know It’s A Myth banners put up by the American Atheists. I am in favor of the AA’s substantive causes but I found this billboard campaign smug and petty (I feel the same about campaigns to remove Christmas trees from public venues).

Survival Bow Making Instructions - StumbleUpon. By Jason Knight The following bow making instructions will help you construct an effective bow in a relatively short amount of time. A quickie bow is a fast-made bow for immediate use in a survival situation.

It is carved from a sapling or branch of a tree. The reason it is called a “quickie” bow is because it is made at the time the wood is harvested, rather than waiting a year or more for the wood to season (as is typical for regular bow construction). The advantage of this bow is that it is ready to use right away. The disadvantage is that the quickie bow may break or crack as it dries out over the months after construction. Survival Bow Making Instructions 1. The first step is to select the proper materials. For a quickie bow, you want to start with a relatively straight section of sapling or branch that is free of knots, side branches, and twists. 2.

Stand the bow stave upright on the ground, hold the top loosely with one hand, and push outward lightly on the middle of the bow. 3. End of the World Planning. Freeganism. Freeganism is the practice of reclaiming and eating food that has been discarded. Freegans and freeganism are often seen as part of a wider "anti-consumerist" ideology, and freegans often employ a range of alternative living strategies based on limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources.

Freegans "embrace community, generosity, social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing in opposition to a society based on materialism, moral apathy, competition, conformity, and greed. Dumpster diving is not, however, limited to rummaging for food. Freegan Resources[edit] Public Perception[edit] CWC Texts : Recent Features : The Really Really Free Market. There’s no such thing as a free lunch under capitalism— For anarchists, there’s no other kind Disambiguation: According to the capitalist lexicon, the “Free Market” is the economic system in which prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses. Any sensible person can recognize immediately that neither human beings nor resources are free in such a system; hence, a “Really Really Free Market” is a market that operates according to gift economics, in which nothing is for sale and the only rule is share and share alike.

In the interest of not taxing the reader’s patience, a single apostrophe stands in for the two “Really”s throughout this text.
