The racial makeup of the township was 98.68% White, 0.33% African American, 0.16% Asian, 0.66% from other races, and 0.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.15% of the population. There were 235 households out of which 35.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.6% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 25.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
