Sep 29, 2009 'ora' concept watch by alexandros stasinopoulos greek designer alexandros stasinopoulos has sent us images of his latest concept watch ‘ora’. The ‘ora’ concept is a study on the field of haute horlogerie. it focuses on the display of time via an unconventional mode, by replacing the expected dial arrangement found in the vast majority of the mechanical watcheswith a set of three interwoven tapes – one to indicate the hour(s), one to indicate the minute(s), and one to indicate the day. the design of the case reflects an ‘inside-out’ design approach as it was the mechanism’s arrangement that prescribed the overall form in an attempt to enhance its uniqueness and create a distinctive silhouette. btw alex was a former design aerobics participant and designboom would like to congratulate him on his quality of work. if you would like to participate in our current courses check out the full list here ridhika naidoo I designboom.

This office is all about fun: it has a lot of specially decorated rooms in which employees can do their work. There’s even a game room for relaxation and a gym where you can work out. Check it out: The Selgas Cano Architecture office, designed by Iwan Baan, makes you feel like a part of nature. Thanks to the fact that the office is below ground level and the huge windows, you really feel encapsulated by plants and trees.

Saegeling Medizintechnik is a German company that produces high-end medical equipment. This office somehow reminds me of the nuclear bunker in the end of Terminator 3. Yahoo has several offices around the world. TBWA Hakuhodo is a Japanese advertising company. This is probably one of my favourite offices.
