Perfectly suited to the spirit of our times, this book is a spare yet stylish guide to living without wastefulness. It chimes with today’s consumer and design trends toward cost-consciousness and environmental awareness, and shows how to live stylishly by reusing and repurposing rather than buying new. This book aims to inspire a sophisticated audience not yet prepared to sacrifice great design or good style by showing both exceptional designs by leading product designers as well as offering ideas for projects we all could, and perhaps should, create. Remake It Home blends inspiration and hands-on knowledge, containing a wealth of almost-forgotten skills for using found materials, left-overs, and trash.

The Chia puppy is fun, it is easy to do too, I had a chia Bart before, and it almost stopped me from getting this one, Chia puppy only has to soak for an hour, and the same with the seeds, the other chias have to soak 24 hours before you can put seeds on them, also, the shape of the puppy is a much better shape to hold the seeds, they pretty much stay where you put them, Unless you are a very VERY patient person, I would deffinetly suggest Chia Puppy, or one similar like the Kitten, or Bunny, they are a lot more fun than those hateful heads that the seeds run off of non-stop Bought this for my dad who apparently loves chia pets. He put it in front of a window in his office.
An alarm clock consisting of four 2 inch tall cubes. Each cube displays one glowing LED digit to make up the time display. Unlike static boxes usually associated with alarm clocks, this interactive collection of changing numbers can be arranged in any configuration.
This joins the radiometer and 4" prism as one of the basic sun toys that everyone should have. It's a fun design with a transparent case, exposed motor, different colored gears, and counter rotating crystals. It looks to be quite well made, and I was pleased to find that its large built-in suction cup does a good job.

The Lexon Jet Clock series from British industrial designer Theo Williams are definitely something worth looking at (and bringing home if budget permits). Each of these unique digital timepieces feature a electroluminescent backlit dot matrix display which is a snap to read. Other than telling the time, day and date, the Jet wall clock also does temperature and functions as the all-important alarm clock too. If you're head over heels with this style, you can always settle for a similarly designed (albeit smaller) travel alarm clock and a clock radio, where all three come in brushed anodized aluminum or shiny gold finishes.
