List of LMS Vendors 2013. LMS Evaluation Process: LMS Selection Process. Introduction | LMS Evaluation Process | Pilot Feedback | External Reviews | Key Features | What's Next Stage 1: Elimination by Necessity At the start of 2009, all known learning management systems (LMS), with exception to the obscure, were evaluated. LMS were gradually eliminated in terms of necessity and then favorability. By necessity, we mean that each LMS was presented with a set criteria of items deemed absolutely necessary - such as Banner integration (Banner is the college’s Student Information System).

After items of necessity were met, we then filtered out learning management systems by a list of items that were not absolutely necessary, but highly favorable. Below is a table showing the elimination of LMS by necessary items: LMS Elimination Round 1 LMS Round 1 Results LMS Elimination Round 2 Stage 2: In-depth Evaluation by Edison Online Staff for Top 2 Stage 3: Final Evaluation by Faculty and Students.
