DIY Heating Pad

This is hardly worth calling a tutorial because it’s so easy and ridiculously simple, but it’s worth sharing anyway because it’s my three favorite things: easy, cheap, and green. I did something to my neck this last weekend. I’m not exactly sure what I did (I deep-cleaned the house, but nothing insane) – but I had some serious pain in my neck and shoulders. I’m not much of a pain pill-taker, and we don’t have very many power outlets (old farm house), so it’s not that easy to plug in an electric heating pad. But my mysteriously tweaked neck needed some nice, warm heat-and-pressure love.

Thankfully, a microwaveable DIY heating pad is super easy to throw together! Like I said – it’s an athletic sock. Close up the bag (in this case, that just meant knotting the neck – but you could sew it shut if you’re more crafty than me), and voila! Tada! Jaime W. If by chance, you happened to catch my post over at Momof6 on how I am dealing with my storage-challenged bathroom, you have seen how I have re-purposed our old family room bookshelf and used it to house a set of beautiful Rubbermaid bento-style fabric boxes to hold all of our toiletry items. I love that we were able to pull together a system that works for us…. but our solution has ultimately led to another frustration.

Clearly I need some labels. How to Create Labels Using PicMonkey: What Exactly is PicMonkey? PicMonkey is an online photo editing site. Step 3: Add Text. String Blocks..... Calendar and Menu Command Central - The Real Thing with the Coake Family. We are almost there!

Calendar and Menu Command Central - The Real Thing with the Coake Family

Yay! I’m almost done with my Command Central. I have one thing left to do and I will be able to reveal the final of all three parts together to you. Yay! This week, I’m going to show you the calendar and menu planning portion of my command central. I started with my old calendar. After covering my artist canvas in fabric, I started taking apart my old calendar board for the parts I wanted. To glue a thumbtack to it. I also, hot glued the calendar plastic pockets to by fabric covered canvas to hold my calendar in place. Next up was to create a portion of this board for menu planning. I needed to attach the menu planning portion to the canvas for the middle section. . I used mini clothespin s on the menu planning section of this portion as well as on the Adult Command Central. I used my E6000 again, because I felt like it would give me the best hold for as much use as this section will get used. Buttery Lip Balm - A DIY Tutorial! - Faulk Farmstead.
