Howto_garmin_connect [Linux Garmin Communicator Plugin] Garmin offers the possibility to upload your recorded fitness data to their webpage. You can share your routes and keep track about your workouts. Access the site at: If you have a Garmin device that shows up as disk drive, the device needs to be mounted before using the plugin. If you get the message “Your Browser is not supported” try reloading or change the User Agent Settings before using the plugin! Step 1 - Logon to the webpage Step 2 - Go to the upload page Press the upload button. Officially Garmin does not offer any support for Linux. To be able to use my two Garmin devices under linux I started the development of a browser plugin that behaves just like the original Garmin Communicator Plugin. The plugin allows you to send gpx files to the device (eg. “Send to gps” from geocaching.com) or to upload your fitness data to a website (eg. connect.garmin.com). If you like the plugin you can support the development of new devices by donating money (to buy new devices - and hopefully implement them) Howto use the plugin Supported devices Not all Garmin devices are supported yet.
Installation For Ubuntu there is a public Launchpad Repository available under ppa:andreas-diesner/garminplugin. Changing the User Agent is no longer necessary (since version 0.2.7). Feedback Other links.
