Photography web. My CAS Journal: Final CAS Reflection. Creativity, action and service are the three components of the CAS program. This program enabled me to experience new activities, undertake new challenges and develop new essential life skills, making me both an active and balanced risk-taker and thinker. It engaged me into initiating activities and projects both independently and in collaboration with others, making me a reflective communicator and inquirer. Moreover, this CAS program allowed me to engage myself with issues of local and global importance and forced me to consider the ethical implication of my activities and projects, making me a caring, open-minded and principled individual.

Double Exposure Portrait Photography by Dan Mountford – Cube Breaker. Dan Mountford’s A World Inside of Me is a brilliantly done series of double exposure portraits in which he gives us a peek into what exactly makes each of his subjects “tick.” Though just a side project for the Brighton based designer and photographer, shots from the series have been used by such publications as New Scientist magazine and the Adobe U.S. website. While they appear to be heavily photoshopped, Dan created all of the images largely “in camera,” meaning that post production work was simply used for small touch-ups of blemishes and tone, and perhaps the addition of some vector. Prints from Dan’s double exposure series are available at Big Cartel, and to keep up with the latest on Dan’s photography, follow him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and behance. Outdoor photography projects Photography project 17: Brenizer effect portraits The Brenizer method, also known as portrait panorama or bokeh-rama, provides a great basis for a portrait photography project. Invented by New York wedding photographer Ryan Brenizer, the technique helps you create photos that appear to have been shot on a lens with a much wider maximum aperture. The idea is that you shoot lots of telephoto photos of different parts of a scene at the lens's widest aperture, and then join this mosaic together using Photoshop's Photomerge option or in specialist stitching software.

Make sure you shoot each frame using manual settings - from White Balance through to focusing - so that you can batch process all the shots. Try shooting anywhere from 30-80 frames, and make sure each tile and row overlaps the last by around a third.
