The “third quadrangle” is just a ten minute walk from the historic 700-year-old Turl Street campus in the heart of Oxford. More on this project after the break. The new building will provide housing for 100 students, a lecture hall, teaching rooms, social spaces and study facilities that will accomodate both undergraduate and graduate students. Two new courtyards provide the center for the scheme, which are connected by an ambulatory. It connects Exeter College’s public and courtyard spaces with cloisters, amphitheater staircases, landings, garden walks and places for gathering. In the center of the S-shaped plan will be the Quad’s social heart, which will open onto both courtyards at various levels. Indore School / STL Architects. This new project, a two story year 5 & 6 block with 3 classrooms above and below, is an important addition to the school and public interface to Nicholson Street.
