burlap and paper wedding banners {tutorial}

That is all we've known. This month he completes his training and will start his first real job. I am almost afraid to say that out loud--it doesn't seem real! I am so proud of him for all the hours of hard work and the dedication he has put into his education. He is so amazing, and I am so in love with him! Wow, that was a fair bit of cheese. 3K+How To Make a Burlap Wedding BannerSupplies: *Burlap (I used 2 yards to create this extra large banner) *Scissors *Freezer paper *White acrylic paint (I used Martha Stewart's satin finish craft paint in Wedding Cake) *Coffee filters *Ribbon *Pom pom decorator trim *Sewing machine & hot glue To create the pennants, I started with natural burlap from the fabric store (about 2 yards) and cut it into pieces about 10" wide by 13" long.

Glittered IZZE Bottles. The next thing I wanted to do to the IZZE bottles was glitter them.

Glittered IZZE Bottles

You can check out how I drilled the holes in the back of the bottles here. I used Goo Gone to take off the sticky residue that was left over from the label. It also removes stamps that are on the bottles. Then I taped off the area I wanted to glitter. I taped it off where the neck of the bottle starts to get skinnier.

The Convertible “Infinity” Dress: How it almost defeated me, and what you need to make one

It’s pretty cool. It’s a convertible dress that’s basically a circle and two straps, so it’s really easy, inexpensive, and crazy versatile. It’s been around forever and everyone seems to love it (in fact, part of the reason I’m posting this is to answer some questions for people I’ve run into), and I can hardly believe how close I came to not making it at all. I first found the instructions at a blog called rostitchery, and then I came across a second set at Cut Out + Keep. It sounded so easy. So I bought some material, spread it out in the living room, cut out my pieces, and… …stopped. I didn’t understand the next step. Turn the skirt inside out? And what’s this about making them overlap each other?
