To make this drawing we drew the building with pencils and markers and then we painted the sky with watercolors. Citkart - More Design & Art at citkart.com Amazing... American painter Jasper Johns inspired Dolvin kindergarteners to turn ordinary letters and numbers into extraordinary works of art!

We learned how to draw a "bubble letter," which turns a line into a shape. Then we added stencils in the background, watercolor resist, colorful stickers and sparkly glitter... definitely an exciting change from boring handwriting sheets. As a bonus, while we were adding the glitter in small groups, early finishers created a Jim Dine-style symmetrical heart monoprint, just in time for Valentine's day.

His slightly abstract nature scenes are very simple and geometric, making it easy to find emphasis in the picture, or showing what's important. Our 3rd grade collages were inspired by his geometric, sparse style. We incorporated visual texture by using newspaper to represent the black and white texture of birch tree bark. We also used space in the picture by placing things above and below the horizon line, as well as by changing the size. Robotik: Projet d'arts plastiques. Bonjour !

Ah, the ever-popular Birch Trees project!

Birch Trees in Winter Watercolors

Art teachers, staff, students and parents LOVE this lesson. It always has a high success rate so all students, regardless of their art abilities, can succeed. I love projects like these. Who doesn't love the stark, bare beauty of birch trees set against the quietness of snow. There's lots of steps and lots of different versions out there on other art teacher blogs. A key figure in the Pop Art movement, Andy Warhol created prints that take an interesting and almost reverent look at everyday objects, transforming them with unconventional coloration.

What is the difference between art and an advertising? The subject matter? The quality? The medium? The buyer? Born in PA, Andrew Warhola was destined to be the first star of pop art. Warhol moved to NYC in 1949, where he got a BA in graphic design and worked as an illustrator for magazines for more than 10 years. Fantastic at marketing himself, Andy Warhol created his own legend.

Warhol appropriated imagery from consumer culture and added them to his artwork, pushing all of the boundaries between fine art and advertising. The process was tedious, and often included multiple apprentices. First he drew an image on waterproof paper with a pencil. Then it was traced with ink. The paper was then flipped and pressed on absorbent paper.

The printed image was finally colored in using pastels. Halloween Painted Jar Luminaries. Halloween Painted Jar Luminaries  Kid's Art Project - Free-Fall Foreshortening. Foreshortening is one of the most challenging things to learn as an artist.

This project makes learning immediate, fun and easy! One thing I teach my adult drawing students is that when a finger is pointing at you and you want to draw it, start with an oval, as it is the closest shape to you, then work backwards. In this case, as the figure (or self portrait), is falling, the bottoms of the feet are pointing straight up at you, so this is what we will start with. This is also a great way to discuss texture (bottoms of the shoes), overlapping and expressions. This project can be modified for various age groups, depending on whether you let kid's draw in the body portion, or you have it pre-cut prior to assembling. Materials You Will Need: How to assemble your falling person: J'ai fait à la manière de cette artiste l'an passé avec mes élèves de 3e et c'était de toute beauté
