Projects Musikbox is a conceptual work of synchronized audio and motion created by artist Sergio Roger and architect Fernando Ansorena for the exhibition WEGE UMS KINO (“Tours of Cinema”), Berlin. The work consists of a sculptural piece of Malaparte’s House (Adalberto Libera Arch.) that moves following a melody. The piece was made by CNC milling of an […] General view of the booth at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona. Design: External Reference Arch.

SOLID TEAK DOOR FOR A PRIVATE RESIDENCE, Barcelona. YOTA DEVICES PAVILION, MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS, Barcelona. Inspired by a popular Japanese tradition called Kamishibai (paper Drama), Ekaré Sur has entrusted us the technical development and manufacture of this beautiful object for storytelling anywhere, always from a stage.

Computational Design is the discipline for developing and/or applying computational approaches to problems that originate in design... The Computational Design (CD) program takes a "computer science" view of design, applying both the science and art of computing to design problems, whether in relation to creation, presentation, analysis, evaluation, interaction or aesthetic expression; real or imagined applications, both perceived and conceived. We offer both a Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Design.

These research-based degree programs are intended for practitioners, educators and researchers in architecture, computer science, engineering and those interested in design. The graduate program in CD started in the late 1960's and is among the first and best known in the country. We are looking for creative, inquisitive, visionary students, who are disciplined and determined to make positive change in the field of Computational Design. Bulb Garden. Blog. I’m coming to New Zealand to give five keynote speeches on the future of architectural technology (Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown from the 9th to 13th of June).

A summarized version of my thesis that appeared in ENR. An article I wrote for AEC Magazine about the potential for big data in the AECO industries. My first piece for ARCHITECT magazine examining the ways indoor positioning technology will impact the architectural profession. I’m moving to New York and joining CASE! I’ve been thinking about publishing a lot lately. I introduce the central issue of my thesis: parametric flexibility. I expand upon the challenges associated with parametric modelling that I have outlined in this introduction. I contrast the challenges of parametric modelling to the challenges associated with software engineering. I discuss a research method for applying aspects of the software engineering body of knowledge to the creation of various parametric models. Researchpavilion2012. Could Computational Design Go Mainstream? - News. Over the past few years developers of software for the architecture, engineering, and construction industries have called into question the role of the desktop computer in design.

They have either produced software that exploits the desktop’s computational power or have abandoned it as a design tool entirely. This marks a significant change in focus—from software that facilitates the production of digital versions of traditional architectural documentation to the expansion of design capabilities through advanced computational modeling or desktop-free design production reliant on mobile devices and cloud computing. Recognizing this trend, Autodesk showcased two programs—Formit and Dynamo—late last month at the AIA National convention in Denver. Formit, an iPad application, allows designers to create basic conceptual forms and upload them to Autodesk’s building information modeling (BIM) platform, Revit, turning the mobile device into a design tool.
