La firme indienne compte bien développer un modèle électrique et va collaborer avec les français de Dassault Systèmes. La maison mère de Jaguar-Land Rover continue de montrer sa volonté de se tourner vers une mobilité plus écologique. Alors que ce week-end Jaguar a dévoilé une étude Plug-in Hybrid de sa XJ, Tata de son côté compte bien développer une petite citadine électrique. En janvier dernier, le constructeur indien avait profité du Salon de Detroit pour dévoiler un concept de petite voiture électrique baptisée eMO. Si lors de cette présentation Tata avait annoncé ne pas avoir l'intention de produire ce véhicule, il se pourrait bien que le géant indien ait changé d'avis et se serve de son prototype comme base pour son futur modèle électrique.
