I saw this question asked on another forum over the weekend, so I thought I'd put together a short and sweet guide on putting together your own time-lapse video from a set of stills — because even though there's a few guides around on the web for putting together time-lapses on a Mac, all of them involve complex steps with even more complex software, when you can do the thing entirely in QuickTime with a minimum of fuss.

And with cameras such as the GoPro featuring a "photo every X seconds" mode, time-lapses are easier than ever before — but if your camera doesn't put together the images for you (some cameras do, the GoPro and other sports cameras don't), then this is the guide you're looking for. Step 1: Prepare.
