I also suffer a lot of lower back pain. If I stand for a long time then go to sit down my lower back fills like its going to snap. If I sit for a long time then try to stand up my back also fills like its going to snap. My first GP that had sent me for a back xray had told me that the xray had reviled I had a tiny growth on my spin and that I could have even been born with it. He had told me that there was nothing that they could do about it and that if I over done things it would hurt me more. I have had the pain for years but recently since I have been of work its worse.
