CERN offers courses for physics teachers in English or in your mother tongue, lasting between 3 days and 3 weeks. You will experience the atmosphere of frontier research at the LHC, meet with scientists and teaching colleagues, and find new ideas on bringing modern physics into the classroom. Find presentations, recorded lectures, teaching materials, movies, animations, games, posters, photos, games and ideas for practical activities in the classroom.HST - HOME PAGE
The HST Programme is funded by CERN and is organised in the context of the educational outreach programme of the Physics Department Education Group. The participation of USA teachers is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Latin American participants have been sponsored by the High Energy Physics LatinAmerican-European Network (HELEN) programme. The participation of teachers from developing countries has been organised in collaboration with the UNESCO International Basic Sciences Programme .

Η σωματιδιακή φυσική από κοντά: Το “πρόγραμμα HST” του CERN, για καθηγητές Γυμνασίων και Λυκείων
Κάθε χρόνο το CERN προσκαλεί στη Γενεύη καθηγητές δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης, με σκοπό να ενημερωθούν σε θέματα σωματιδιακής φυσικής και της διδασκαλίας της σε Γυμνάσια και Λύκεια. Εν μέσω των θερινών διακοπών περίπου 40 καθηγητές επισκεπτονται το CERN και παίρνουν μέρος στο “πρόγραμμα HST” ( H igh S chool T eachers programme), οργανωμένο από το τμήμα εκπαίδευσης του CERN. Έχει το πρόγραμμα αυτό σχέση με διακοπές; Καθόλου! Έχει να κάνει με αρκετές ώρες εντατικής μάθησης και πολλών δραστηριοτήτων.

Parachuting is an extreme sport useful to understand the concept of balance. During the fall the force of gravity is balanced by the friction with air. Increasing speed makes friction grows up to balance the force of gravity, the two forces cancel each other and the person falls with constant speed.
