AKA London. AKA reaches its 10th birthday in the summer this year, which we think is something kinda special. Legend has it that a decade ago, the people behind The End nightclub decided that they should do something with the space upstairs, an old Georgian post office sorting depot, with high ceilings and an industrial warehouse feel, and created a place that was half late night club and half sleek cocktail bar, AKA. DJ bars are on every corner these days, but back then AKA really kick started the movement in London, and showed how to do it in style by placing as much importance on the music programming as on the extensive spirit, cocktail and champagne list.
