Founded in 2007 by two brothers, Saulius Dailide and Aidas Dailide, the Pixelmator Team develops the most practical, fun, innovative, and easy-to-use software for Mac OS X. Our flagship application for the Mac is an astonishing image editor called Pixelmator. We’ve enjoyed putting our hearts and our time into creating Pixelmator.

V-Ray 1.5 Technology preview Here are some of the recent developments for V-Ray 1.5 for 3ds Max, expected this fall. Some of these features were shown at SIGGRAPH. Thanks to Vlado for sending us this preview! http://vray.info/features/vray1.5_preview/Default.asp
Overview Cost savings, efficiency and effectiveness drive the shift to virtual worlds Dispersed global operations, soaring travel costs, changing threats, competitive environments, and the demand for faster, real-time decision-making are driving government organizations, academia, and corporations to identify new ways to collaborate. train, rehearse, and operate.

This could be time consuming and, possibly, require more memory than the amount present. Jim Mischel t The Problem

Call for Papers and Participation With the increasing interest in realistic rendering and simulation, more and more graphics research focuses on ray tracing. Following a very successful first event in Utah in 2006 , this second Symposium on Interactive Ray Tracing will provide a dedicated forum for the scientific presentation and discussion of the latest developments in this highly active field of research. http://www.uni-ulm.de/rt07/RT07.html
And here is the final stage that I have written for these tutorials. Please refer first to stage 1 , and then to stage 2 , before working with this stage. Update: there was an inappropriate phong calculation, and I have corrected it to use the halfangle vector instead. http://renderspud.blogspot.com/2007/04/topmod-specular-reflection.html

TopMod, specular reflection

http://www.akebulan.com/render/render.html Did you know? The 3d modeling stage could be described as shaping individual objects that are later used in the scene. There exist a number of 3d modeling techniques, including, but not limited to the following: constructive solid geometry, NURBS 3d modeling , polygonal 3d modeling, subdivision surfaces and implicit surfaces. 3d Modeling processes may also include editing object surface or material properties (e.g., color, luminosity, diffuse and specular shading components—more commonly called roughness and shininess, reflection characteristics, transparency or opacity, or index of refraction), adding textures, bump-maps and other features. 3d Modeling may also include various activities related to preparing a 3d model for animation (although in a complex character model this will become a stage of its own, known as rigging). Objects may be fitted with a skeleton, a central framework of an object with the capability of affecting the shape or movements of that object.
