It became accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) in 1995 as a PsyD program. In 2009, the curriculum was modified and now we offer only the PhD in Counseling Psychology. The PhD Counseling Psychology program has been accredited by APA since January 15, 2010. In addition to completing clinical practica in these three core treatment modalities, you will also complete a practicum in Clinical Supervision of individual therapy. Clinical Program

The program integrates scientific and professional training through didactic, practicum, and research experiences. The goal is to educate students for eventual roles as research scientists, clinicians, and problem solvers in the public and/or private sphere. The program emphasizes the development of knowledge and skills in basic psychology, clinical theory, assessment and treatment procedures, and research. four specialized tracks are offered: clinical child, health psychology, pediatric psychology and adult psychopathology.
