Find some wide popsicle sticks to get started. First you need to boil them {yes, boil!} In water for about 15 minutes to make them nice and soft so they can bend. FYI, you will break about 1 out of 5 so plan accordingly. Dry the sticks around something the size of a wrist... To make the process easier on the paper bracelets, use one of the unbent sticks as a template, cut out the paper, and mod podge onto the bent stick. My favorite is the twine. The vase we used to dry the sticks has a diameter of 2 inches. We painted this one bubblegum pink before adding a little surprise inside.
DIY Paper Jewellery. When I got out my jewellery making equipment last week to create my Gucci watch knock-off, I was not only reminded of just how much supplies I have, but also, how much I used to enjoy making jewellery.
So, I decided to make something super easy and fun that I can wear as an accessory this week. I had bought some Mod Podge Dimensional glue ages ago and have been dying to experiment with it. And yes, experiment is definitely the right word. I have to admit, that this post is going up a little later than usual because not everything went exactly as planned, but here's what I ended up with: Supplies: Steps: 1) Trace or directly cut out a circle (any size) out of heavy weight scrapbooking paper. 3) Now apply your Dimensionals Mod Podge, going right to the edge, and being careful not to cover up the hole at the top. How to make a cardboard canvas. Supplies: cardboard/chipboard, mod podge, masking tape, a brush and pages from a book. apply Mod Podge on a piece of cardboard and collage book pages on it.
Let it dry cut a 4 inch square and 4 strips that are 1 1/2 inches wide use masking tape the adhere the strips to the square. add snippets of tape on the inside of the canvas. until it looks like this... then collage snippets of book pages on and inside the canvas in order to cover up the masking tape. when you are done, it should look something like this. done!
